Our latest livestream was one of those sessions that remind us why List Perfectly exists — because two resellers saw a problem, refused to accept it, and decided to build the solution themselves.

If you missed it live, you can now watch the full replay on YouTube here → Watch Now.

About That Schedule Mix-Up ⏰

Some of you noticed the live started an hour early — so did we! Somewhere between YouTube and Facebook, the scheduled time changed on its own, possibly tied to the recent nationwide outages that disrupted multiple platforms.

No worries though — the full replay is live, and it turned into one of the most personal, inspiring conversations we’ve ever shared.

The Real Story Behind List Perfectly

Before List Perfectly, Amanda Morse, a U.S. Marine Sergeant and lifelong problem-solver, and Clara Albornoz, a licensed attorney and former banking professional who built her career in the United States after immigrating from Argentina, were running a small vintage business called The Clothing Vault.

They were sellers like everyone else — taking photos, writing listings by hand, copying details from one marketplace to another. Nothing about their process was fast, and no tool truly worked for one-of-a-kind sellers.

“We had a listing problem, not an order problem,” Amanda explained. “Nobody was focused on resellers like us who were selling unique pieces. So I decided to build something that could actually help.”

Amanda began teaching herself to code — nights, weekends, and any free hour between shipping runs.

“When you’re a Marine, you don’t wait for someone to fix it for you,” she said. “You learn what it takes and you do the work.”

Her first prototype, The Mandy Lister, worked. It copied listings between marketplaces in seconds — something no one else offered at the time.

“When I saw that first demo,” Clara recalled, “I knew we had something powerful. Amanda was determined to solve a real seller problem — not build a flashy tech company.”

The Breakthrough Moment

That small internal tool became the seed of List Perfectly. Together, Amanda and Clara decided to rebuild it from the ground up, focusing on reliability, speed, and simplicity.

Clara: “I’d spent ten years in U.S. banking and trained as a lawyer — so structure and precision mattered to me. Amanda brought Marine discipline and fearlessness. Between the two of us, failure wasn’t an option.”

Neither took a paycheck in those early months. Every dollar from their reselling profits went into development and infrastructure. They did it all without investors — and they’ve kept it that way.

Why Independence Matters

“When you take investor money, you’re expected to deliver fast returns,” Amanda shared during the live. “That often means raising prices or cutting corners. We weren’t willing to do either.”

That decision defined List Perfectly’s growth. Since launching publicly in 2019, the company has added new marketplaces, built AI tools like Listing Assistant AI and Express Lister, and upgraded infrastructure repeatedly — without ever raising plan prices.

“We run lean and sustainable,” Amanda said. “We build based on what customers ask for, not what investors want to see.”

The Big Questions Amanda Answered

How big will List Perfectly get?

“As big as we can get without losing what makes us us,” Amanda said. “Growth for us means adding value for our members — not raising prices or outsourcing support.”

What’s been the biggest lesson this year?

“Stability is everything. Marketplaces can change overnight, so we keep our focus on what we can control — speed, security, and support.”

Why stay private when competitors raise capital?

“Because it lets us listen first,” Amanda said. “Our community built List Perfectly with us, and that’s who we answer to.”

What’s Next in Part 2

Part 2 will dig even deeper into what it means to grow sustainably in 2025 and beyond:

  • How List Perfectly chooses which marketplaces to add next (and why you’ll never pay extra for them).

  • The systems and values behind LP’s debt-free business model.

  • How Amanda and Clara balance community growth with platform stability.

  • The biggest lessons they’ve learned from leading a women-led, reseller-built tech company.

Why This Story Matters

Resellers today face rising fees, marketplace instability, and software companies that keep raising prices. List Perfectly has chosen a different path: grow organically, stay independent, and keep resellers first.

That’s what makes this conversation so special — a reminder that innovation doesn’t need investors, and that authentic leadership still exists in tech.
