If you sell on eBay and use List Perfectly, your account must use eBay’s Business Tool listing form.
eBay sometimes places sellers into the Quick Listing Tool, which is designed for more casual selling. The Quick Listing Tool uses a simplified listing page with fewer fields.
Because of how this listing form is structured, List Perfectly cannot interact with it.
If your eBay account is using the Quick Listing Tool, you may notice problems such as:
- Listings will not import from eBay
• Listings will not crosslist to eBay
• List Perfectly features involving eBay will not function properly
The solution is simple: switch your eBay listing form to the Business Tool.
Once you switch, List Perfectly can work normally with your eBay listings.
Why the eBay Business Tool Is Required
The Business Tool listing form is the full version of eBay’s listing page.
It includes the complete set of fields used by professional sellers, such as detailed item specifics, pricing options, shipping settings, and other structured data required to create full listings.
Because this version contains the full listing structure, it allows List Perfectly to:
- Import your eBay listings
• Crosslist inventory to eBay
• Manage listings through your workflow
If your account is using the Quick Listing Tool instead, those features cannot connect properly.
How to Switch to the eBay Business Tool
Switching listing forms only takes a few seconds.
Step 1 — Start a Listing on eBay
Go to eBay and begin creating a new listing.
If your account is using the Quick Listing Tool, the page will appear simplified and contain fewer listing fields than usual.
Step 2 — Locate “Switch to business tool”
Look at the top-right corner of the listing page.
You should see a button labeled:
“Switch to business tool.”
Step 3 — Click “Switch to business tool”
Click the button.
The page will reload using the Business Tool listing form.
Once your account switches to the Business Tool, List Perfectly will be able to:
- Import eBay listings
• Crosslist listings to eBay
• Work normally with your eBay inventory
If You’re Still Having Trouble
If your listings still will not import or crosslist after switching forms, check that you are fully logged into eBay inside your browser and that the List Perfectly extension is active.
